Festive menus, nineteenth century French recipes, and lists of fine wines from the archives will be among the selections on view at this year’s Open Archives.  All will be served up in the house’s historic kitchen.  Come feast your eyes and imaginations!

Longfellow House–Washington’s Headquarters NHS was headquarters of the fledgling Continental Army in 1775-6 and home of America’s first great poet from 1837 until his death in 1882.  Its archival collections, open by appointment, include the papers of several generations of the Longfellow, Wadsworth, Appleton, and Dana families, as well as collected research and images related to the house’s history.
