The Houghton Library at Harvard
On the Open Archives tour the Houghton Library displayed an exhibit on Wendell Phillips. This bicentennial exhibition documents Phillips's long career as one of this country's foremost champions of civil rights, featuring materials chiefly from the Crawford Blagden Collection of the Papers of Wendell Phillips. Letters from notable contemporaries such as William Lloyd Garrison, Lucretia Mott, Charles Sumner, and Harriet Tubman are on view.
